Sacred Dance-Embodying the Wisdom Goddesses

Sacred Dance is a powerful, transformative practice for everyone (even you, Men!) to commune with and embody the Divine Feminine Energy that resides inside each one of us. Sacred Dance is a spiritual path utilizing mindful movements and non-choreographed dance in a safe, sacred space in which we can experience the ongoing personal and spiritual growth of embodied connection to the Divine. Through the movement into the Divine, we can awaken and connect with the pure energy of Shakti, the Divine Mother, by surrendering to our own natural rhythms and movements of our bodies.

Invoking the cosmic powers/energies, qualities and blessings of the Wisdom Goddesses, also known as the Mahavidyas, into our space and bodies adds a powerful element to our spiritual dance practice. These goddesses are considered the most powerful and fierce forms of the Divine Feminine. We can think of each goddess as rays of the Divine, or manifestations of supreme consciousness, each one has her own unique energy and a specific problem she can solve, guiding the spiritual seeker towards liberation. By tapping into and channeling the Cosmic Power of the Wisdom Goddesses through the use of Sacred Dance, we can cultivate an intimate relationship with the diversity of the Divine Feminine. In turn, enhancing our connection to each goddess, experiencing her energy and embodying her wisdom and knowledge.

*Kali-bringer of life & death, regeneration and rebirth

*Tara– wisdom of compassion;ruler of speech

*Kamala (Lakshmi)- the manifested beauty, fertility, harmony & abundance

*Dhumavati– the power of void, emptiness; grandmother spirit

*Mantangi– wisdom of the arts, expressive play

***In honor of the Goddesses and the spirit of playfulness, we invite you to come dressed in a dress, long skirt or clothing appropriate for dancing that empowers your Divine Femine Energy. Please arrive 10-15 minutes before starting time to allow ample time for you to get checked in and settled to begin promptly at 1pm! No refunds can be granted for this event, however a credit will be applied towards a future event hosted by Lesley and Liz.
